Does DayLane require an account?
No. DayLane has no accounts. Open the app in your browser and start journaling immediately.
Where is my journal data stored?
Everything stays on your device in your browser's IndexedDB storage. DayLane does not upload or sync your entries to a server.
Does DayLane work offline?
Yes. DayLane is an offline Progressive Web App. Once loaded, you can record and review entries without an internet connection.
Can I back up or move my entries?
Yes. You can export your journal as CSV or JSON and import a JSON backup. Because data is stored locally, export regularly if you change devices or clear your browser data.
How do I build a journaling streak?
Record a mood and a short highlight each day. DayLane tracks your current streak and shows your calendar at a glance.
